From the novelty of the season’s first storm to the seemingly endless onslaught of recent weeks, snow has been a looming presence in the lives of many Americans this winter. Of course, snow does have its perks. It is enjoyable to look at, ski on top of, sled through, and roll into snowmen and snowwomen. What is much less enjoyable is the fact that snow needs to be removed – from roads, driveways, sidewalks, stairs, and walkways. And, while snow removal is almost always a nuisance, it can also be very dangerous if performed incorrectly or without proper precaution.
