As your diet is critical in maintaining your health, knowing how to read the Nutrition Facts Label and the Ingredients List on food items is necessary in understanding exactly what you’re putting into your body. But while reducing or eliminating refined, processed, and/or packaged foods is fundamental advice for cleaning up your diet, sometimes things get lost in translation when it comes time to shop. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the demand for organic produce has exploded from 2005 to 2014 and the trend looks to continue.
